Normal check in is after 2:00pm and check out is before noon. Please let us know in advance if you require an earlier check in or a later check out and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

A door code or key will be provided upon arrival. This is a stand-alone unit so all doors and windows must be kept locked when you are not on the premises. Codes or keys may not be shared with anyone. We accept no personal liability for loss or theft of any personal belongings or items of value left on the premises. A fee of $50 will be charged for lost keys.

A variety of self-serve items will be available in the refrigerator and on the kitchen counter including, cereal, bread/pastries, eggs, fruit, yogurt, milk and coffee. Please clean up after yourself.

For your convenience, parking is available in the driveway near the front (river end) entrance.  Keep your vehicle locked.  We accept no responsibility for damage or loss of your parked vehicle, or for theft/loss of personal belonings and items of value left in your vehicle.

Bethel is a rural river community and, as such, can become quite dusty, wet and muddy. Please help us preserve the condition of our home by removing your shoes or boots and leaving any wet outdoor gear near the entrance. We recommend you bring slippers.

Regarded as a quiet getaway, the space is not suitable for children under the age of 12. Non-registered guests are also not permitted to stay overnight at any time. Additionally, we regret that we cannot accommodate guest pets.

Please be aware that water in Bethel is delivered to holding tanks so supply is limited. Enjoy your shower or bath but please conserve to the greatest extent possible. Water delivery is every Monday. The septic tank is evacuated on the same day so city water and sewer trucks will be accessing the outside of the building and is not cause for alarm.

Every effort is made to keep a comfortable temperature in the home with Toyostove oil heaters. However, if you are too cold or too hot, please contact the host and instructions will be given for adjusting the temperature.

Please be aware that this is a non-drinking, non-smoking accommodation.

There are other rental and residential properties nearby so we ask that you keep noise and activity levels to a minimum out of respect for our neighbors.

Due to our small size, last minute cancellations and challenges of rebooking impact us significantly. For this reason, we require a minimum of 7 days notice of cancellation for a full refund. Cancellations made 3-6 days from your scheduled time of arrival are eligible for a 50 percent refund, with a minimum charge of one night. No-shows or cancelations within 48 hours of scheduled arrival are not eligible for refund and will be charged for the full scheduled stay.

Riverside Refuge is privately owned and operated. Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. We will not be responsible for guest accidents or injury, or for the loss of money, jewelry, or valuables of any kind.

Any damages, stolen items, or broken items occurring during the stay will be the full financial responsibility of the guest, including anyone traveling with the guest. Any special clean-up resulting in damages caused by the guests will be charged to the credit card. Charges may need to be applied after guest departure as deemed necessary by the Owner.
